PSP will work with you every step of the way to customize a job of your choice to match your interests, skills and career path.
Our training and on-the-job support will allow you to settle in and learn to do your job well. We’ll be there to help you get acquainted with your employer and co-workers. We’ll stay until you feel comfortable with your work and surroundings. Then, depending on your individual needs and funding option, we'll check in with you on a regular basis or visit you at the job site. We'll be there to assist you in learning new tasks or help resolve any problems that might come up. At PSP, our job is to help you be successful at your job.
Process Steps
Getting Acquainted:- Meet and get to know each other
- Discuss employment steps
- Identify participant needs, abilities and interests through personal futures planning
- Sample job tasks to identify skill sets
- Help write resume and develop interview skills
- Bring participant and employer together for working interview
- Exercise your right to accept or reject employer's job offer
- Provide on-the-job training and support to the participant and coworker support team while jobs tasks are mastered
- Offer support to ensure a positive and productive work experience
